Interview with one of the top designers, Rahul Kapoor

We got a chance to chit chat with Rahul Kapoor, one of the top designers in India and we cannot tell you ladies, how excited we are to share his story and expertise. Rahul’s designs are what a modern Indian bride would want to wear. Keep reading to know Rahul’s journey of success.

1. When did you first realized that designing was perfect for you?

Rahul: I won’t say that I knew I wanted to be a designer from the beginning. it grew on me.I used to shop from for my mum and sister , still do and I think I was around 16 or 17 when at it hit how much I liked it and how good I was at it lol. so after I finished my college I went to london to pursue a fashion diploma. thats when it got serious and I made my mind about actually being designer.

2. What inspires you while creating the designs?

Rahul: well, it all depends on the moment.where I am? what I am doing ?how I’ve been feeling. ? like sometimes you are just sitting and staring at the was and the theme for your latest collection just pops in your mind but of course at the time it just raw , unrefined thought. the actual business begins after that thought.

3. How long have you been in this industry and how has the journey been?

Rahul: It’s been good 4 years and counting and it is been great. I am more than grateful. when I stared i wasn’t really thinking of it in the long run. theirs been ups and down but that’s like the story of every artist. sometimes it’s hard to your place in the industry. you know like how do you want people to see you. what kind of designer are you and so on. but you grow with time, you realise you don’t need to fit in or wear any labels.

4. What would you like to say to all the brides to be about their wedding attires, dresses etc?

Rahul: Finding your dress can be stressful. the choices can seem overwhelming for sure. I just want to say to all my beautiful brides , be yourself but also be open to new options. try different dresses and colours. but if you are still confused about your big day , this wedding season go for traditional red colour.
